Christmas!

Yes! It’s almost that time of year …

This year we have several opportunities for giving.

1. We will be donating the money that we have collected all year in our "Can for the Poor" to St. Micheal’s Food Bank on First Street in Passaic.

2. This year we are also supporting the Food Bank at St. Michaels. They need any and al of the nonperishable items listed below*:

Rice (1 or 2 lb bags; white preferred)
Beans (1 lb bags, black, red, lentils, pintos, chickpeas, white beans. Canned beans of the same variety. American beans, Heinz, etc. do not go over well.)
Cereal and oatmeal
Canned vegetables (corn, peas, carrots, green beans are most popular
Canned fruit
Canned soups (cream soups and broth/stock are not popular; anything else is OK)
Canned meat (Vienna sausages, chicken, Spam are all popular)
Chef Boyardee or similar canned pastas
Mac and cheese
Peanut butter and jelly
Spaghetti (other shapes are bulkier to carry and less popular)
Sauce (ready-made or canned tomatoes of any variety are all good)
Tuna

* Aldi's and Dollar Tree are the best sources for dried beans and rice.

3. The Passaic Neighborhood Center for Women is always in need of any diapers (size 4-6), wipes, and gift cards (any kind but ShopRite is most appreciated).
